I don't know about the RAID issue, but it looks [1] like you should use
the alternate install CD if you wish to install to an LVM volume.
There is a workaround [2] if you can't obtain the alternate CD.

I encountered the volume level changing bug only in pulseaudio 1.15,
however, in 1.14, audacious' volume level only changes when it is
started, not when changing songs.

as nobody replyed, I had the nerve to install the newest nvidia drivers.
So far the crappy display is gone. That's the good part.
The bad part, my X-Server dies regularly now. (about 3-4 times a day)

When I start the application monodevelop on karmic it says that
karmic's default maximum inotify watches limit (i.e.
/proc/sys/fs/inotify/max_user_watches ) is too small for it to work
optimally. Karmic currently allows 8192 inotify watches and monodevelop
needs at least 9000

I am seeing this in Jaunty. Also had the same problem with Intrepid as
well. I am using the XF86AudioMute keyboard mapping to mute/unmute
sound.
With music playing, I press the mute button. The sound is muted, the
volume applet icon changes to a muted icon, and the notification is
displayed

This problem is not actually with the nginx init script (or with the
scripts of other packages). This is actually a problem of the /lib/lsb
/init-functions script.
The problem here seems to be that in the latest update of lsb for Jaunty
and Hardy ( 4.0-0), which is the same
