I can confirm this bug on a Dell Latitude D630 with the proprietary
Nvidia driver on Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty. In Gnome with visual effects
enabled, Qt applications like KeePassX or the git client cola do not
update their windows correctly and basically become unusable. If I
disable visual effects in
Travis, I disagree with closing this bug. It may not affect many people,
but it does exist. The wall plugin code is also intended to switch to
the diagonal adjacent workspaces, this is why the arrow is also pointing
there when I move to the bottom right desktop for example. I have taken
a look at

Now that you mention it, I did have weird application input errors very
similar to what you describe a few hours before this complete lock up.
At the time I attributed it to the network as I doing a git clone and
several of the apps were X forwarded from another machine.
Also I was working in a

Trying to solve the issue I played (on a Aspire One A110, with 9.04 UNR,
and /home on a ext4 partition on a SD card) around with delaying the
resume process by making a pm hook (called /etc/pm/sleep.d/99zleep - so

I retested with Ubuntu 9.04 amd64 and zsync 0.5. I can download DVD
image in 64-bit Linux, bug is isoloated to 32-bit code. Thisis good
news...
I tried to generate zsync file for DVD ISO image under Ubuntu 9.04 386

I have this bug too, on Jaunty upgraded from Intrepid. I am seriously
thinking never to upgrade again... You never know what strange bug might
hit you due to misconfiguration / old config files etc. Could someone
