Confirmed what I remembered: tested the issue with OpenSuse 11.1 (same
hardware config than Jaunty) and the problem is not present in that
distro (no boot delay after you remove the first boot disk)
Moreover, in Jaunty, only first boot, after you remove the first boot
disk, is affected by the issu
I have fixed the gdmsetup crash (caused when no gdm autologin
configuration present) and this will be in the 2.27.90 release. Note
that gdmsetup does not work with the old GDM so it will not work until
your system has been restarted after an upgrade from 2.20.

I didn't actually confuse it with the nautilus renaming wishlist bug, I
just set it to wishlist because it's not a bug in the sense of
"unintended behaviour". The current behaviour is intended.

Thomas says libasound_module_conf_pulse.so file is in /usr/lib/alsa-lib/ and

I did some more testing on this and i still face thsi problem in my
profiles.
But , when i create a new user , I'm able to play sound in multiple apps and
there is no locking.
Everything works perfectly with a new profile!
So i guess something in the ~/.pulse is blocking the proper
functioning?
I am just getting around to re-testing this on Karmic.
On this laptop, I haven't booted into Windows XP in a long while, so it
should be an interesting test. Here's the latest information on my
Karmic system:
$ cat /proc/modules | grep snd
snd_hda_codec_conexant 20060 1 - Live 0xf9b8
snd_hda_
No for a sync before FF too you need to provide an explanation AFAIK

Pulseaudio just keeps increasingly hogging memory!
This is in a system that keeps running constantly,
right now uptime is ~9hrs and memory used is 194MiB

I think a warning when moving files to the trash would be appropriate.
When the Trash is cleared, Nautilus does not warn anymore, when read-
only files are removed from there and since using the Trash is default
in Ubuntu/GNOME, there should at least be a notification when you move a
read-only file
I am running the 8/24/09 Xubuntu daily build and I got this same message
