Same here for several months: freeze within the first five minutes after
boot, keyboard locked (except Alt-SysRq-B), but mouse pointer still
moving. Sometimes it recovered spontaneously after about one minute.

Add/Remove applications is bigger than usual and it is twice too, it is
now under menu: System->Administration, but wait i think it should stay
there and the one under applications menu should be removed
