Could you check if updating the kernel fixes this?
That's strange, my menu.lst wasn't updating for some reason when I
installed new kernels. Running update-grub manually fixed it, and I
rebooted into 2.6.31-9 (30 Aug) from today's Karmic updates. The
problem is still present.

Any luck getting my big file to load and save quicker? I've since split the
file in two with five and eight sheets in the two files and saved in ods
format. The first file still takes some time to load and save and uses 100% of
my 2.60GHz CPU.

on Karmic should have Estonian support. Firefox 3.5 support will come
with the rest of the languages in Karmic.

Ok, now I don't think this is a bug, just me not using the applet
properly. It was my habit to right-click and enable/disable networking
to connect/disconnect. I see now there is a difference between
enabling/disabling networking and actually connecting/disconnecting from
a particular network.

On this laptop there are media keys on top that include volume,
