maildrop issue, fetchmail has nothing to do with it. You can test it by calling:
maildrop -d username

OK, Now I'm not sure what to do with this bug... I found the solution,
it's not with nvidia, the problem was caused because somehow during the
upgrade from 9.04 to karmic alpha 5 the HUE setting in Totem got moved
all the way to one side.

Just doublechecked - with Jaunty it doesn't work - with Karmic
connecting through Network-Manager does work.
Still - if disabled in Win the device doesn't even show using lsusb and
/sys/devices/platform/sony-laptop/wwanpower is 1 regardless of the hardware
switch being on or off.

I installed alpha 4 of the ubuntu 9.10. It seems to be better: the
wireless rate varies up to 54mb/s, internet connection generally does
seem faster. This is all totally subjective though - might just be the
glow of using a nice new ubuntu. Hopefully it was an issue that was
attended to in the new

I am experiencing the same thing. I would test but the latest update has
made it impossible to connect to *any* wireless network of any flavor
automatically or manually (bug #416041). So, once that is rectified, I
would love to help with this :)

sound itself, but let's phonon do so. This has already been filed
