i took out one of my 4890 card, cause i was running crossfire on vista
at the time, because the last test was giving me the same error. and
replaced the computer with a new HD so not to touch anything on the
original HD. i put in the live cd and installed it right away, (i have

It has been stable for me when using the version from karmic in jaunty
version: 185.18.36-0ubuntu2
The only thing I notice is that sometimes apps like firefox and pidgin
get a black background in theme sometimes, but I have not tracked that
down to know if it is a video driver problem.

This is not an update-manager bug, it's a bug in whatever package or
packages that cause the slowdown. However, the bug report is too vague
to be useful. At least the following information is needed:
* what slowed down?
* how was this measured?
* what hardware is being used?
* if you use the livec
I would prefer and recommend that we stop using gender-specific anything
and removing the dependency. Gender isn't a binary "male" "female" for
many people and I think it would be best if localized binaries of IM
clients instead use words that don't have a gender designation or
implication.

running 9.04 and they are not able to see each other or my Windows

I can attest that the output PDF seems unusually, and unnecessarily,
large.
I converted 3 JPG files, ranging in size from 200k to 400k, to a PDF

convert *.jpg out.pdf
The resulting PDF file is 10 MBs.
I'm running Kubuntu 9.04. Imagemagick info:

The print server is a BusyBox-based Linux system that automatically

It's a bit clunky, but if it is driving you nuts, you can add the user
information to the local /etc/passwd file, and the user will be able to
use sudo and su.
