I'm up and running again - applied all the updates and then used the
'Repair broken packages' option.
No splash, but quick enough.
FYI - I enjoy testing Alphas, but on a partition with no important

and keyboard. I have used 'old way' xorg mouse and keyboard drivers and

Same serious problem here. Did the usual upgrade today and after reboot
no keyboard, no mouse. They both paralyzed right on the KDE login

I can confirm this problem but don't have a separate /var/ partition,
it's on / which is ext3 /dev/sda6. My /usr is located on an
lvm2-partition, though.
During boot, there is are messages
init: dbus main process (1349) terminated with status 127
init: dbus main process ended, respawning
Then
bug #430272 is too wide :-) ATM I have the only issue - exactly as
described here - and have no other problems as described in that bug.

As far I know the HD 3200 has the RS780 chip set.
