I guess this will teach us all not to buy hardware that does not provide
source for or otherwise open drivers and/or specifications.
I will NEVER, EVER buy another Brother product again so long as they
continue to not provide open drivers. And I will advise
Qt4-X11 is using ARGB visuals, which seems like a logical thing to do if
Cairo-Dock is running. VLC Xvideo and X11 plugins fail to handle this
correctly when creating their rendering window. Thus, this is
essentially a LibVLC bug.
