Yes, Weatherman was right, my [B] rig's DVDRW burner was worn out and had to be
replaced, and learning about the new Beta version GRUB2 is now my main

Hi
I burned several ISOs from last year when I started U/Kubuntu 8.04, 8.10 and
9.04 and I never get this I/O error.
But when I burned Ubuntu 9.10 ISO using an old 2003 LG CD-RW drive GCE-8520B at
24X (maximium speed) with a CD-RW Verbatim that had Ubuntu 8.10 and I get that

Nothing seems to be wrong according to the log. I'm guessing that the
install was interupted by something. (E.g. a computer crash) It's
nothing we can solve from the packaging side of things, so I'm turning
