Hi,
I am trying to install Ubuntu 9.10 from a USB stick (installed with UNetbootin).
At the partitioning step, it stops and all options are disabled ('New Partition
Table', etc..).

OK, so with the custom kernel I had other issues like dropped wifi
connections and no brightness control. Next, I compiled the new 2.6.32
kernel, and suspend still does not work with that, so I said F it and
went back to Jaunty, and now everything works. So, the bug fix is:
Reinstall Jaunty.

Explanation of the Ubuntu
When I first discovered the bug, I installed xscreensaver as my first
workaround. However, the screensaver was activated when I was watching
TV. So it seemed like I moved from one bug to another. Has anyone else
successfully configured xscreensaver to work?

I'm sad to report that the latest Ubuntu's kernel update broke Ogasawara's
package.
We've just ran the update manager in some machines, and all of them asked to
update the kernel. After that, many modules stopped being loaded, including
snd-hda-intel.
All these machines used a custom Ubuntu
My E160E is running perfectly with the kernel from karmic-updates.
My broadband provider released some firmware upgrades as well, those of you

Debian fixes two possible FTBFS bugs. This version is also cleaner than
the previous one as I have moved Ubuntu specific changes to a separated

I forgot to add, I am in process of replacing my old reliable install of feisty
7.04 / kernel 2.6.20.17.
This wireless card worked with zero intervention on that install.
I have stuck another hard drive in the machine to put 9.10 on and will remove
the old drive once I get this new install
