I just upgraded to 9.10 and the hack no longer works. I had hesitated
upgrading for this very reason because I was afraid Rapache wouldn't
work and I was right.
I really hope this project gets fixed and not abandoned. I really hoped
for a fixed version with the release of 9.10.

probably starting a whole new session, since the state isn't usually
kepy in $HOME. So it cluttered your $HOME with the new internal state
too :)
I wish 'boinc' was out of the $PATH. People keep running it by hand,
which is nearly a
libcudart.so is proprietary code, it can't be included as part of the
boinc package.
Redistributing CUDA runtime libraries in Ubuntu is probably possible (in
the multiverse section), but I don't think it's the BOINC package
maintainers' job to do that...

check without). I can change essid with iwconfing and get ip with dhclient.

Same issue on a Dell Inspiron 1100 intel integrated chipset i845.
P4 2.4, 1GB ram, 32mb video daughter card.
Boots Black screen 10% of the time.
System freeze after a few minutes with only mouse pointer available.

I encountered this problem in Ubuntu Karmic.
After trying all suggestions in many pages with no result, I tried this
:
rename /lib/udev/rules.d/61-mobile-action.rules,
to /lib/udev/rules.d/51-mobile-action.rules
Then plugging in the modem works as it was in Jaunty (yes, my ZTE MF622
was working
The Novell guys confirmed this was not a problem on 3.11 or 3.2 so this
must be a Ubuntu specific bug OR they are doing something different than
what is described in the steps required to reproduce the problem.
