I'm just now playing Rhythmbox since it happened and I won't play it for
long tonight. I'll get back to you tomorrow or Friday and let you know

Doing a clean install on a ASUS x64 system using the Studio 64bit version.
Installing to brand clean new 1TB Western Digital drive.
Installation proceeds apace until it reaches Installing Software. At that point
it stalls and eventually reports that it has failed. Option to try again taken
sever

Ubuntu only supports software from its own repository. If you want a
pretty good, free pdf reader, evince comes standard on the base
installation.

On reboot even with the Static profile, Auto eth0 with DHCP was the
profile that loaded.. I expected the Static profile to load for 2
reasons.. it was the last profile loaded on reboot and it was marked
'Auto'.
Unfortunately "Auto eth0" is not listed in the profiles to disable auto
load..
