I can shutdown fine now. I think it's related to the Plymouth package. which
for some reason I get an error message on boot the "mount all " error.
I feel that if plymouth, or maybe it's a grub issue, is solved I will be back
to shutdown problems.

I have a Karmaic system that conflicts with mountall and fsck as well. I
have a data drive that is 500GB mounted to /media/Videos. Recently after
a reboot the system wanted to fsck the data drive. The first part of the
check according to the progress bar completed quickly, but the last few
progress

For me, Nautilus often requires a refresh before new files/folders show up.

Just as a heads-up, this bug is still affecting me in the newest Lucid
alpha release. (I have the same model of clevo as the others here, the
serval professional).
Here's a really stupid question though -- is there anyway whatsoever to
make a false directory structure under /proc/acpi/ac_adapter?

Deleting the symbols file will prevent future FTBFS because of changing
exports: the symbols files are only required when the lib fails to export the
required functions, and that's not the case here.
As stated by Reinhard, this is safer to delete them.
