Yes, I confirm this, but this bug is due to gdm, I thought. The possible
workaround that works for me is the following:
1) remove gdm
2) install slim (from Lucid)

Correct, we're still waiting for a patch for the version in Hardy. Because of
the greater version difference, an easy patching is not possible (at least not
something I could do, as I'm not that familiar with the code).

settings in monitors.xml are not meant for setting these display's
dimensions. It seems they are used for an offset in the position of
everything on your screen. It works if you put anything different than

- retry

Yeah, that was a problem in gnome-about-me, which is fixed upstream, so
will be fixed with next upload to Lucid. Could be worth a SRU if
somebody wants to spend some time on it - the fix is quite short. Also

Binary package hint: evolution
Some messages have missing text in bodies. Some messages get sent or
received as complete gibberish or as foreign letters. See an attached
email that I sent. It looked normal before I hit send but this is what
it looks like to my Outlook
