Just did double check of MoarningSun observation results... it's
absolutely correct: gnome-power-manager settings work just fine. Once
disabled lock not appear when using either timeout suspend or keyboard
hotkey. My workaround appears even simpler, I replaced standard applet
with old "Power Down..

Rhythmbox developer says it works for him, perhaps it is a bug specific
to the gstreamer packages in the repositories and not the fault of
rhythmbox?
If i remember correctly VLC does not use gstreamer it has its own

I can confirm this bug on my LG R580 running Karmic. If I press FN +
Down, the brightness is lowered one level; if pressed again, the
birghtness is instead raised a level. Subsequent pressings of FN + Down

CD and avoided most of the problems i have read about (keyboard, web

BIOS updated from 1.04 to 1.28 - no difference.
This occurs in Jaunty with kernel 2.6.28.x
Have also tried 2.6.30.10 from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/

Well as far as i can see from the dpkg log,i can tell that the download
was terminated,not the actual unzipping,so it is possible that your
internet connection got terminated for a short period or adobe's servers
had a glitch,since it worked the second time,im marking it as a invalid
bug.
