I have the same problem as buckwheat - I get the ICEauthority message,
then the configuration server message, then a message that Nautilus
couldn't load. Loads into a default desktop background with no panels. I
ran sudo chmod a+rwx /tmp and nothing changed. Is there another fix...or

I am attempting to back up important stuff, but struggling to do so (it

I see this as well, but in Karmic on my Acer Aspire One. Sometimes when
you remove the adapter it still says it is plugged in, all the way until
it dies. Going and standby then waking up again seems to correct the

permissions of the file being created -- it just specifies the mode bits
before modification by the process umask setting (see the open(2) man

The usual crap i.e. Do Google: "Firefox is shit" for a search, and
it's 3 web pages open, 280Meg of ram, and bogging my entire system to an
almost halt while it thrashes the disk memory, doing fucking
nothing. for like an hour or so.
I can't replicate this in Karmic, so I guess it can be closed.

accessing different files in the .w3m folder inside your home folder,
whereas mine doesn't find any. Can you please confirm whether or not
there are files inside that folder, such as a config file?
