I also experience similar problems, although I do not use freecell or
any games. Each time it happens the last message in dmesg is pid.c:
Stale PID file, overwriting.. I also notice the screen flickers black
every now and then as if it is about to crash, but it doesn't most of
the time.
i can connest to various servers, but cannot join various rooms. All i
recieve is the unsupported command message after typing /join #irchannel
etc.

Binary package hint: gedit
The first 11 lines print out. In the next lines: almost every other line or
part of line is non existent. 2 lines in the middle of the page can be read.
The rest of the page has hardly got printed. In places, the top part of the
words is

Looks like it's not on all songs/files.
I had it on a 128 kbps .mp3 file from 5MB size.
I'm not sure if this helps a lot.
If it does, you can ask me to test more different filetypes/sizes/bitrates
etc...

We are only backporting major security fixes to Karmic at this point, so I
doubt this would meet the definition set forth in the SRU policy. I am glad you
were able to verify that this is resolved in Lucid. I'll go ahead and mark this
Fix Released.

Some debugging for this was done today in IRC, but did not finish before
everybody fell asleep ;-)
For some reason, my hardy computer chooses to upgrade to intrepid
instead of lucid when doing do-release-upgrade -d or sudo do-release-
guessing you are working on this?

Thank you, you're right that Trev and Mike seem to be having a different
problem with their systems. We appreciate all of the work that you are doing to
try and narrow down the cause of this problem. I will try to do some testing
with google-desktop-linux to see if I am able to
