I have to beg to differ on this. The driver that should have been is use
at the time of the crash is "nv" from the repositories. Until I reboot,
the nvidia-current(nvidia-graphics-driver-190) driver is not in use.

Sure because I started the bug and the solution was the one I mention,

the kernel version and in the nvidia driver version they fixed the edid

EEE PC 1005HA with Windoze and Ubuntu via wubi. Failed to display Grub4DOS menu
after updating a bunch (A BUNCH) of stuff.
Using the patched file didnt work at first. Reason was i was patching up the

This should be on the default CD seed. CD space is always an issue,
however if we really need to we can split the branding out of the
existing games packages to have no net loss in space.

How much RAM do you have on your machine? While Ubuntu is built to run
on low hardware specs, low RAM storage could contribute to the problem.
