There is a very simple way to make Plymouth display any logo you want.
Open /lib/plymouth as root, and you will see an image file called
ubuntu-logo.png . You can replace this file with another png image and
rename it ubuntu-logo.png , run sudo update-initramfs -u , and plymouth

Charlie, I deleted ~/.cache and everything in ~/.config/xfce4/ except
for the /panels folder (didn't wanna have to set it up again if I didn't
have to), and that seems to have solved the problem. Thanks! Also,

Yes, removing the configuration file and restarting will cause conky to crash.
I can fix the first crash but then it will crash later on, the code is not
really designed to handle this case.

I can not install openoffice.org-pdfimport, since I get the same error.
Now I cannot uninstall it either, so I get this message everytime I
install new software. How do I get rid of this pdfimport package

Binary package hint: alsa-utils
Sometimes (let's say once in every ten reboot) the system boot in
extremely long time (about 2/ 3 minutes while normally it boots in 1
minute) and it is completely unusable (extremely slow, the only thing I
can do is an halt command from consol
