I done all update before to install the test kernel and my computer
worked without problems. After installing the new kernel and saw the
plymouth's freeze I tried to boot in recovery mode (so without plymouth)

issue. I've noticed since first boot that the boot sound is often
corrupted. It has problems in different ways. Sometimes it will sound

This is still happening in MARCH! Any way to fix this permanently yet?
The fix was NAK'd by artlogic on 2010-01-02; our Stable Release Updates
procedure does not allow us to continue with the backport AFAIK

IO errors when inserting a disc

I use ubuntu 9.10 with 2.6.31-20-generic for navigating my sailboat with
Opencpn and a Garmin GPS (60CSX). Garmins latest driver use
/proc/bus/usb/ to mount. I use these commands to be able to read GPS
data.
gksudo modprobe garmin_gps
sudo mount -t usbfs none /proc/bus/usb/
yes, empathy dont have the problem its just the memenu showing offline
