I wanted to throw my voice out there as one saying "not in an LTS".
This was an unexpected change which I promptly reverted.
To reply to #146, the issue is not being like Mac or Windows (though if
I had to pick, I'd pick Windows because it makes evangelism easier--much
larger base of Windows user
In fact I have a problem when I burn the iso of ubuntu because after
burn the update notification, which tells me it had detected a source
package...
I try the command but nothing happens ...

removing files will solve the problem. I tried this fix and I'm simply

the corruption issue.

Got this bug today after applying recent Updates. Lucid ALpha 3. P5QPL-
AM motherboard, Intel chipset.
Tends to NOT happen when cold booting, but consistently happens on

Investigating the problem further, I thought the problem might have been
that resolving the DFS referral returned a NetBIOS machine name, not a
FQDN, for the server hosting the service (ie, WARTHOGS-ADC instead of

This "bug" desn't affect me at all. Actually, this "bug" makes me very
happy.
I use Mac OS X a lot, so I'm used to having these buttons on the left
side. I also use Ubuntu and I always change the layout so the buttons

Hi,
i tried both steps as written here (edonia wrote on 2010-03-10: ):
mount --bind /dev/bus /proc/bus
mount --bind /dev/bus/usb /proc/bus/usb
But this isn't working.
Maybe someone have an idea

Still reliably reproducible on Beta 1. Just launch a terminal window.
You need to click on the console once it is running for it to gain
