System resumed from suspend.
I disabled suspend when lid is closed.
After that i closed the lid.
Few hours later, opened the lid and system was dead.

As an additional anecdote, I would point out that I've had worse luck
with burning large images (iso to DL disks) with growisofs as a backend,

The 3-19 request asks for no more comments, yet on 3-20 post "fixes", this
issue is still occurring.
Reboot following updates as of this time stamp on an amd64 nvidia system still
shows broken pipes when shutting down and on the reboot as well as this "fixed"

I have installed this driver on a clean, freshly installed ubuntu 10.04
beta. As a result, the system is unbootable - it doesn't go any further
than a purple screen - the GDM doesn't start and the system freezes.
Also, the recovery mode stops at a black screen and is also unusable.
