I do have a fourth machine, but I can't upgrade it yet since it's my
main dev box at work. I can try loading a virtual machine when I get
home and see what happens.
The other machines were syncing files just fine, so I'm not sure I
understand what you mean by saying they weren't connected. That
I don't know really what it is.
Karmic sometimes also didn't come back from sleep, but (it's strange) only when
ndiswrapper (WiFi drivers) was installed. Also it sometimes didn't boot
correctly, and crashed somewhere between splash and xsplash.
(I have Lucid as new installation)

It impossible to do the thing You ask. After all updates it still says
that bug report could not be send because packages
initscripts, klibc-utils, libblkid1, libc-bin, libc6, libcomerr2,
libglib2.0-0, libgssapi-krb5-2, libgtk2.0-0, libgtk2.0-common,
libk5crypto3, libklibc, libkrb5-3,
It seem that the file-roller works correctly again.

Hello Detlef,
There is a simple fix really, the problem with some Thinkpad's is they have
legacy floppy support enabled in the bios-settings, while there is no floppy
in the machine. Just disable this in the bios, and the problem is solved
after that. The boot time will then again be normal.
Fixed in 3.2.0 release.

I don't know whether this is the same, but copying large files (~2 GB)
make the progress bar to advance way to fast until 1 GB and then stop
there forever. If you try to unmount the virtual file system, it gives
you a DBUS error message:

Just wanted to let you know that linux-
image-2.6.34-999-generic_2.6.34-999.201003231003_i386.deb completely
fails to boot.
I've tried it because of problems with the xorg-edgers PPA (regarding
nouveau), but it locked up completely after choosing the image.
