IIRC, the issue is caused by 'toy' Cairo API usage which does not handle

I think the version you have in your PPA was compiled without the GUI
interface. For GUI apparently you need to configure as:

Hi,can someone please look into this issue? Ive also tried the latest
builds from the xorg edgers PPA with 3D support and the issue was still
present.So we probably need to talk to upstream about this.

Karmic, but --notimesync fixed them. It no longer fixes them on Lucid.

If you click on the Icon of the attached device,it works too,but if you
click on the text it doesnt expand,also can you please tell the version
of kdebase-workspace in which the fix was released,so that we can follow
up on this bug? I have KDE 4.2.2

John is correct after following the steps outlined in this Bug Report I
was able to get timestamps similar to what bug 554454 show. My
Syncdaemon continued logging on syncdaemon.log.2010-04-04_23-57-45,
while opening Ubuntu One Preferences created log entries in
syncdaemon.log.

Looks like if I install 5.4 from Lucid, on a machine that previous had
the Karmic install, the previous version isn't removed properly.
Purging the previous version tells me that /etc/init.d/netlogon, and all
the other scripts, still exist.
I removed the xserver-xvideo-intel-2.4 package from my notebook and
then, surprisingly, suspend started to work again. I suggest removing
the package and updating to the new version.

This patch makes apache2 serve php5 from public_html by default, and includes
instructions on how to disable it.
Previous behavior was was to disable by default and instruct to enable.
I think my way is more user friendly and is expected behavior.
