I forgot to mention that I am running 9.10. I have had the issue since
8.10. I think. It is hard to remember since it has been so long since
it worked. Anyway, it was whenever the switch from esound to pulseaudio
occurred. I have not tried this on Lucid yet.

I have just tested the *-20 kernel and the result is the same as with the
patched kernel.

When I first added i915.powersave=0 to grub I did it incorrectly and
today fixed what I did wrong and did it correctly and now I it seems the
bug is gone :) Please somebody let me know what else I can do to have
this confirmed bug fix get to those that can do something about it and

I cannot confirm this behaviour on the Macbook Pro 5,1 (currently using
Kubuntu 9.10/ 64-bit with mactel support). Scrolling with two fingers is
smooth here.

Confirming, seen the same on at least 4 completely different machines,
but all running Kubuntu Lucid Beta2 AMD64.
As long as NVidia proprietary drivers are not installed, Plymouth is
fine.
As soon as NVIdia proprietary drivers get installed, Plymouth becomes
