with openssl.

hplip (3.10.2-2ubuntu2). unfortunately, this did not fix my problem; the
scanner is still only detected when logged in as root (for example by

For some reason, this bug stopped affecting me. Maybe the gnome version
that recently came through the update manager fixes this? I'm able to
use the touchpad again, so I recommend you guys to just go to the update
manager and install the updates. I don't know which one fixed this bug
