I am also using Juniper VPN client v6.5 on 32bit 10.04 with the
suggested fake tun module specified above. With the fake tun module I
no longer get the modprobe for tun module error. Although when

When I login and set the language to "german" in the gdm menu I get
LC_*=de_DE.UTF-8 (as expected).
However the LANGUAGE variable is not set (or changed). So that I end up with
english gnome menus.
This is a system upgraded from karmic and I think i
