wireless driver. I was using this exact same driver, compiled myself,
with Ubuntu 9.10-64bit and everything worked perfectly.
I would believe that there may now be a conflict between

In my case upgrading from 9.10 to 10.04 also solved the problem, since
now network-manager works with my Huawei 3G modem and I don't need to
use wvdial anymore.

Well, I couldn't get that to come back at all. Hung early in the boot
process (just a cursor at upper left) regardless what regular thing I
did. Finally I convinced it to boot the Karmic UNR stick. When I
rebooted from that and chose the disk as the boot device, it resumed
from where it left off wh

After some more testing - I have found using xrandr from the command
line to adjust the resolution upwards, does not affect the mouse pointer

Thanks Ubfan. It took a few tries/crashes but I was able to do a quick
enough click to set the screensaver back to blank. Believe me I've
looked through all possible log files and do not remember seeing

Lucid Lynx 10.04 LTS does not start up well with the F.15 BIOS of HP
Mini 110. [This wasn't a problem before and is once again not a problem
now that I have reinstalled Karmic.]
The symptom is that if Lucid has
