controlling with mouse should work.
I tested patch above and it fixes the problem for me. Funny thing, this
time if you right click on applet icon it sticks to the screen and only
way to dismiss it is to click icon again.

I just found that I can plug in an external USB cd/dvd/rw and

gconf:/apps/update-notifier/regular_auto_launch_interval = 7
and amended this to 1. Now update manager pops up every day. This is
probably inelegant (i.e bash update manager with a hammer kind of), but

Now the clients properly reboot/shutdown from gnome-panel or from iTalc.

Videos tear when I play them with xv extension. I enabled vsync with
Catalyst Control Center and running 'aticonfig --initial
--input=/etc/X11/xorg.conf --overlay-type=Xv', but the video still
tears. I tried sever

Same problems.
Colleagues send mail that looks chinese.
I send html messages and colleagues (with Outlook) see the raw HTML (sometimes).
My outbox looks OK (sometimes) but if I try to view source I get mostly
nothing although the message body may show raw HTML.
