Binary package hint: squeak-vm
When running Scratch with this VM (1:3.11.3+svn2147-1ubuntu1 ) on Lucid, sound
playback using the vm-sound-pulse plugin is choppy, as is sound recording.
To test:
1. Install squeak-vm and Scratch

This has not been fixed in 10.04 - drop outs still occur regularly.
Is anyone from the kernel team actually looking into this at all?
I'm fed up having to boot into Windows just to post messages like this!

Strange.
I tried to boot the 31- kernel (it is supposed to be the karmic one, no?) and a
(Linus) vanilla 33.3 kernel, but the problem persists. No input, no sound if I
do not put the magic line in the conf file.
Hmmm? Any help? Please!
