I was using automatic login (but the account is not a member of the
nopasswdlogin group) when I filed the original bug report. I tried
disabling auto login, but that only made things worse, now every

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with
the latest development release of Ubuntu?

In Karmic wireless connection worked, in Lucid it seems I cannot connect
to any WiFi network, neither using Network Manager nor Wicd. I don't
know what could be involved; I use Broadcom STA WiFi driver.
