With Karmic it was fine.
I've commented out the fstab entry and blacklisted the floppy module. Sadly I
can't disable FDD in BIOS.

I am running Mint 9 using the post from Konstantinos on May 16 from this
thread. I imagine this is mostly relevant to Ubuntu 10.4 as well. For

I created a new Firefox window from a link in the first one. After
finishing reading some page in the 2nd window I closed it using the X
button, and this action closed Firefox altogether, i.e. the first FF
window got closed as well.

In my Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx release installation, storage devices are
not automatically mounted after hotplug. I am necessary going to
Computer and select the device which I want to mount.
But after disconnect and reconnect with my user account, when I plugging
an usb device, this one is correct

Before showing the menu, grub shows 30 seconds of black screen. I cannot
interrupt by pressing either Shift or ESC. (I'm not aware of any
relevant boot-related keys.) While waiting, there is no harddrive
activity.
