I have the same problem on 10.04. Happens on two drives and only happens
frequently when syncing a RAID array. It can happen almost once a
minute. Otherwise during normal operation it only happens a couple of
times a day.
I'm going to replace both drives tomorrow.

I just checked again and the solution definitively doesn't work on my
Asus F3JA.
Before suspending/standby (s2ram):
$ sudo hdparm -I /dev/sda | grep Advanced power management level
Advanced power management level: 254
After waking up:
$ sudo hdparm -I /dev/sda | grep Advanced power
This bug remains on Lucid. If notifications are displayed inversely,
they make no sense.

Since yesterday suddenly my Lenovo Y530 started to properly hibernate
and resume.
I use tuxonice kernel (2.6.32-22-generic-tuxonice). Earlier tuxonice
properly hibernated (or at least it seemed so as it showed hibernation
messages and shut down) but never resumed.

I do not understand the logic, that I only should want to use free font,
if I do not have non-free standard fonts installed? I install non-free
fonts for passive purposes - for reading documents written with those
fonts in mind. This does not relate in any way in my wish to only
produce documents
