I have another crash currently and the clock shows another part of the gnome
panel instead of the time.
Specifically it shows the date Sun Jun 13, but truncated because the clock is
smaller so it only shows Jun 13, and a couple of dots on each side. (see
attachment)

anyone knows where we should report this? maybe somewhere at Intel?
I understand that disabling that acpi check is a bad option and that the driver
is not well designed.

On upgrade to Lucid, grub2 was NOT installed for me; not sure if it
should have been.
Therefore, I am still experiencing this bug in Lucid. I resolved it by
backing up my menu.lst (renaming it to menu.lst.backup), and then

I also have this problem. No issues before on my hardware. Now, ever so
often, I will boot up my computer and not be able to connect to the
wired network. Most times rebooting fixes this. However, today I've

behaviour if one of the startup applications blocks for a while; the
challenge is finding which one.

I can confirm that ubuntu probably has a problem with intel graphics,
and that in particular the brightness setting is one of the symptoms.
When I ran karmic, the graphics worked fine, including brightness
adjustment (with applet and with function keys).

apt-get install dolphin without pulling in the konsole package.
