If you're considering a re-install, it might be wiser to re-install to
Karmic to restore brightness adjustment functionality. The brightness
issue isn't related to whether it's a fresh install of Lucid or upgrade
to Lucid, it is due to Lucid itself.

You're on 32bit, on 64bit this seems to work. My guess is that there is
a limit to the block size available on 32bit (if that limit was 2G or

The problem occurs again when i use firefox in safe mode like requested.
I installed the chrome and the chromium in my sistem for testing that
problem and with this programs the bug don't happening...
With the firefox (normal and safe-mode), sometimes the bug occur
instantly when i put de mouse

Its very annoying that I can't list archive zip files content directly
from mc Its simple neeeded for me and I think for many users which
suprisingly see lack of this simple mc feature..

OK. I have no idea what I've just done but #13 has worked and I now have
a test print :-)
