Hi Bryce! You may close this bug as solved. After more testing I
found out the problem was the faulty USB cord, which on this camera is
not built in and has a mini USB connector. Using the cord from my
Blackberry 8830 resolved the issue. Sorry for the inconvenience. Hard to
believe sometimes

I have this bug as well and using empathy the error report box keeps on

with having two backports modules installed at the same time and it
seems that it was my problem, too. I used Synaptic to uninstall the
nonPAE backport, then installed the PAE backport module and it installed

I had to restart computer because the game called Gem DropX wouldn't
start or close. On restarting, Firefox the auto-update checker caused
this problem by not exiting properly to allow FF to open as usual. I
removed Gem DropX. Gweled, the game used to be better without the
timer, I used to play

I have tried the kernels that came with the install and found that
2.6.31.14 seemed more stable for longer compared to the default
2.6.31.22 that is shipped with the Ubuntu 9.10 I am using.
Maybe that will help with something. The only other thing I can do is
install the kernel base of 2.6.31.1 a
