I can reproduce your phenomenon. The 640x480 also can normally display.
When I setup to 832x624, it will occur a 4cm black margin on the left of the
screen. So I think the mainly reason is the difference between screen panel.

the following and let me know the results?
1. Quit the Ubuntu One client. Open Applications-Accessories-Terminal,
then run the command:
u1sdtool -q

Today I have had some time to investigate this problem. It seems the bug
originates from glib and is not actually a bug in nautilus, the reason
is that mount points that are mounted with the bind option dont the a
GMount mount point assigned from glib.

I don't see how a disk failure would cause disk to return to the state
of 3-4 months ago.
Do you have any backup software running that could have caused this?
Is this the first power down of the machines since 3 months ago?
Is it possible that the drives just haven't been synced since then?

It seems the disk that is failing is not in your sil raid set?
So maybe the disk dying is unrelated.
The files you found in the original post of this report are outputted
when you run `dmraid -rD`, it dumps the metadata so you can restore it
if something goes

When I suspend the PC the first time it's ok,
but the second time is not suspended, there is a black screen with the user
authentication screen but not suspend.

A workaround is to run the command
/usr/lib/libgconf2-4/gconfd-2
in the SSH session. Then all apps started out of it (and already running
in it) work normally again.
So the problem to be solved is making this automatic. Either the SSH
login must somehow trigger the gconfd being started or

Problems when running gconf-based
I can CONFIRM that the version 5.2.2 from the Scilab homepage works
properly (also) with the SIVP 0.5.3 toolkit. However, a path
concatenation in the imshow.sci file has to be corrected (see original
posting).
