All went well but at the moment of the nautilus crash, the Nautilus window

Forgot to mention the battery in my laptop is pretty broken, holding
very litl charge, which conceivably could generate a lot of spurious
events for gnome-power-manager. But the machine has worked fine as a
kind of desktop replacement plugged in constantly to the outlet.
