I have provided a fix. The reason was the fact the main gtk.Notebook
widget was parented by a gtk.Viewport.
I have removed the Viewport and provided a alternative method for
painting a border around the Notebook (which was the sole purpose of
the Viewport).

not be seeing this exact bug; in fact I have not noticed this problem
when booting from a live filesystem (though I suppose it could be trying

Using a touch screen device with seven hardware buttons only it is impossible
for me to succeed with oem-config currently.
It suggest adding a usability button like in the gdm login screen to solve this.

One approach to a solution is to make the code written to MBR as small
as possible. Is Windows writing a boot loader to the MBR? Then make
Grub2 code write to the same area exactly.
