After yesterdays update to linux-image-2.6.32-24-generic, my system crashes
(not only X) after showing the boot splash screen. SSH to the machine is not
possible anymore, Ctrl-Alt-F1 does not change to a console.
The only workaround is to choose "

used to do a lazy unmount of the fs, which removed it from the namespace
so no new processes could access the old mount. Now it appears it never
unmounts the old disc. I can hit the eject button while a terminal has

Hi Mario,
I have just installed Mythbuntu 10.10 beta onto a clean drive, with an
ASUS GT220 (HDMI to Sony TV 1920x1080, plus SVGA to a LCD monitor
800x600), gigabyte 945P-S3 motherboard, dual core intel processor, 1 GB
of RAM, 1TB Samsung SATA HDD and a Microsoft multimedia remote, no tuner
cards
I think it's safe to use this thread for just chatting by now. Did you
see the new wallpaper for 10.10, Tom K?
8.10 is pretty solid for laptops. Try it. Be prepared for a wireless
driver hell though, but power-management works.
