Just a little more information on the bug:
It only occurs when Evince has been idle for some time. I go back to the
window and try to scroll down, nothing happens for several seconds and
the window is dimmed, then after a few more seconds it suddenly responds

On this laptop, with Ubuntu 10.10 beta (though 10.04 was the same) the
wireless will occasionally crash/disconnect under moderate transfer
loads. Then it will not reconnect without a reboot, although sometimes

@Omer that's the point. If you go to the tweet itself - it's fine. URL
is passed through bit.ly. Something unwraps the url, making it longer
and more safe (as you can see where it leads), but also preventing it
from being navigable.
Same also happens say if we have url like http://really.long.addr
I think that its too late, i was trying to partition my hard drive with
windows xp on it, and when i went to change the size of the partition i
canceled before it was complete. After i canceled, the system froze and i
restarted the computer without checking to see if the windows partition was
on

If I click on a link that opens a .pdf mozplugger will open it and

My latest on this is that I haven't really had a problem since my last
post here. Eric's suggestion to add an explicit XFS unfreeze after my
regular snapshots may have fixed some of my load spike / lockup
problems, even though it happened once soon after I added the unfreeze
(as per my post above)

However, I don't think that winbind is the reason why. I use a fingerprint
reader so I had to add my own auth line.

Confirming this issue and switching status as per comments by others:
the CPU frequency is certainly not a matter of opinion. Also changing it
to affect the kernel, as that is where the problem lies (/proc/cpuinfo
displays incorrect information). It seems to have nothing to do with
frequency scalin
When I login to my non-admin account, the desktop is corrupted. See

I just wanted to add that doing what Guillaume Desmottes said works,
although its a bit tedious to click every single contact and right
click-edit-groups (drag and drop doesn't work, is this a separate
issue?/should I add it as wishlist?).

This has not worked properly since I was prompted to upgrade about three
days ago... I found where new packages were apparently uploaded to use a
different installer protocol and I'd hoped by rebooting it would be in
place when I used Update Manager, but alas, nay.
