I did that and it did not solve the isse. The issue is not with ALSA
though, I can get sound out of my mic using alsamixer, the problem I
believe is with pulseaudio. I dont think that pulseaudio is using the
right alsa mic as the mic for pulseaudio. In alsa mixer i unmuted "mic"
to hear myself. But

Okay.
I added the fix that was posted in bug 636842.
Now the touchpad works. The multi-touch features work. I can tap twice
to left-click, and scroll on the right side of the touchpad.

Glad it's working for you. In regards to the device renaming, it's
because it didn't recognise the array as belonging to the machine so it
assembled it as md127 to not conflict with any other arrays. Please see

Thanks for test it, but at the end it wasn't really necessary at all as
you said. It happens since a year or more and you are not the first who
report it, so I changed the status to confirmed and importance to
wishlist because it is a defined behaviour in some time time in the

A good example of the need to sort alphabetically, and not numerically.
I store a lot of bank statements in a folder. They have names like
this:
20090215_monthly_statement.pdf
200903_first_quarter_summary.pdf
20090315_monthly_statement.pdf
20090415_monthly_statement.pdf
20090515_monthly_statemen
My thoughts as well. Could you possibly test both model options for
microphone input/capturing? Whatever one gives better resluts will then
be used to make a perminent fix for your hardware, i.e model options
will not be neeed in future updates.

Me too having the same problem. I am not figure out the working scenario
which you said ie) boot into windows and reboot to ubuntu i am going to
check that now. will u please elaborate that scenario. What i have to do
to work sound in ubuntu?

All required packages has been synced. Could you please check if the
sync is still relevant, and if so, document the FFe (basically, checking
that package builds, installs and runs fine, documenting the tests
you've done)?
