Oh, by the way, right now i accidentally discovered that headphones turn
on even if i print: hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x1d SET_POWER_STATE 1 .
So maybe it is not a power_state issue.

Now cuneiform is built with libmagick++-support (Bug #654767 fixed for
maverick, fix for Lucid is in proposed repository). So cuneiform can
perform nearly any image format. But OCR with cuneiform still doesn't
work: The OCR tab si
by the way: fully up-to-date Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS on guest. I don't know
which system is used as host.
uname -srvmo (as of OpenVZs concept the shown kernel is the hosts one) returns

I can confirm the patched version has the same reproducible bug with the same
error message: (gnome-settings-daemon:5952): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **:
g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
(yes, I did restart the g-s-d)
