As was stated above by Tom Davidson, there's a couple of ways to convert
between inkscape pixels and points. And both are tedious :-p

I was having the same issue as listed here running 10.10 with
kernel.35-23-generic on x86_64. I ran into the not being able to unlock
gdmsetup and figured out that was because I used sudo before it and if
you do you are not able to unlock it. You have to run just gdmsetup.

I see. No problem. Unfortunately we cannot confirm a networking
problem until you try it on another network. Though, this seems to
point VERY strongly towards a networking issue. If you get the chance
to try anytime soon I would greatly appreciate a report back here
verifying if the problem was

unsupported 'eeepc-acpi-scripts' a shot (I believe I was using it in
10.04), but couldn't due to required 'acpi-support-base' unavailable.
