I got a similar problem, but not sure it's the same. My external USB HDD
(Iomega 320GB USB2.0) is automatically mounted on /media/disk-1 at my
Ubuntu10.04 startup through /etc/fstab:

Did you see, that this is about gcp *0.8*, which was developed
independent from gcu at this time. Both have been merged a long time ago
(IIRC in version 0.10). Since then gcu depends on openbabel and gcp
depends on gcu. Closing as invalid.

Working on Lucid Lynx and have the same problem. Updating to Maverick
not an option since I have other issues with that release. Problem
exists in both Geany and Gedit (didn't test others). I don't have
control over the server I'm working with, it's a hosted server so can't
check logs or change any
IMO, the addition of the cap Eszettt was idiotic in the first place. It
is typographically and grammatically incorrect. The eszett is a
lowercase ligature made up of long-s and short-s and, really, is a
historical character. In the past other languages, incl English and
French used to use an Eszett
Strangely, appointments can be seen when clicking on the date on the top
bar. Even with the Calendar/Appointments/Locations dialogue open, when I
click on Calendar in Evolution, I cannot see anything and continue to
receive the warning that it must be restarted.

Mic used to work but now does not unless either Ekiga is run or Skype is
run but then for Skype only after Options->Video->Test is run then mic
works in all apps, eg Sound Recorder, PulseAudio_Volume_Control. System
is Ubuntu 10.04 plus all updates to date 2010-11-08.

Thanks Ali Onur Uyar (comment #31) for the commands, they made two-
finger scrolling work on my netbook :-) I have Asus Eee PC 1201 NL.
By the way, this bug is also present in System Settings in KDE (tested
in version 4.5.1 on Kubuntu 10.10). When you go to it and choose Input
devices -> Touchpad
I've had the same problem when updating to
cups_1.4.4-6ubuntu2.2_amd64.deb. I suspect it's due to this bug:
