the handbook shall state:
1. make sure your DNS configuration is correct. It is enough to test on *all*

- host
7. This goes out to the maintainer of the package: make the
configuration as minimal as possible. No stuff not necessary (except
comments). No useless entries. This is especially true for
/etc/krb5.conf! It isn't helpful at all having a bloated configuration

Apologies for the glaring error in my last post. The 'dd' line should (of
course) have read:
dd if=/dev/hdb (or wherever your iso image appears on a block device)
of=ubuntu.vtoc bs=512 count=1
I used lofiadm on Solaris to put the iso on /dev/lofi/1,
but you can run dd on the cdrom device
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: compiz
It used to be possible to configure Compiz to not generate interrupts at
60Hz to save some battery.
I’m not sure what’s going on nowadays with things like .drirc and buffer
swaps and so on.
The thing is in 0.8.6 Compiz didn’t feature prominently
Considering my previous comment I wonder what the difference is between
'creating' the waveform on startup, and creating the waveform after
startup, when enabeling the option from the preferences. The waveform
display itselve is not the problem.
Can the workaround be to alwas create the waveform

10:55 mru missing red channel?
10:56 hrw will check in moments
10:56 mru try displaying something red

- the values are passed to sudo,
This bug was fixed in the package libatomic-ops -

I can confirm same problems with 260.19.12 driver and kernel 2.6.35-23
on Ubuntu Maverick.

Binary package hint: ubuntu-dev-tools
Every once and a while I want to grab a source package without actually
unpacking it (e.g. I only want to use it for generating a debdiff). In
those cases, it would be convenient if pull-lp-source supported
something analogous to dget's
