Problems with multicast are quite common, if that's what you are using.
Make sure all nodes on the network talk the same version of IGMP, none

After installing latest ALSA drivers the problem is still there.
The only effect I see is that Front Mic Boost was renamed in Internal
Mic Boost in alsamixer. But turning boot on it produces noise only.

I can confirm I've been getting a similar crash on Kubuntu Lucid, with
2.6.32-26-generic.
I seem to be able to reproduce it by opening a mp4 video file in google chrome.

i just buy a new desktop HP p6514 with the graphical card : ATI radeon HD5450.
i install ubuntu 10.04.1 64 bits, dual boot with W7.
There is no problem with shutdown on this desktop (all updates too). Grub is

I did have Marcin Juszkiewicz remove and re-add the menu to the panel,
and also
Fiepel, the WLAN not reconnecting on wake up is another known bug (most
likely #661206)
The orinal submited bug is a real one involving the rt2860 driver.
With Ubuntu 9.10 kernels, no problem.
With Ubuntu 10.04 kernel, you'll have to reinstall rt2860 driver as described
here :
I can verify that the lucid-proposed packages fix the issue without any
further manual intervention from the user.
