Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evolution
I can access the email and global address list, but when I access the
calendar I get Authentication failed.
Thanks,
João Mendes
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10
Package: evolution 2.30.3-1ubuntu7.1
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6
I have not managed to fix the problem either by updating to the daily
ALSA driver modules, or by the fix pointed to from this issue (of
setting options in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf, though I did not try
all possible combinations).
What *did* work for me was the fix suggested here:

Public bug reported:
After upgrading from Kubuntu lucid to maverick, I noticed that the
desktop effects did not work any more. This did not bother me too much
and I continued to work with the system anyway. After a few random
crashes (the display freezes, even the Alt+SysRq shortcuts do not work)

Binary package hint: chromium-browser
chromium-browser 8.0.552.215 (67652) from Ubuntu 10.10's universe has a
regression compared to the 7.x series: you can't auto-open PDF files
anymore, they are considered "dangerous"...

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xorg
Here are the exact steps I take for the bug to appear:
1. Open Firefox (or any other program that takes up about 3/4 of the screen)
2. Click on the Firefox window (you need to do this for the bug to happen)
3. Click the Ubuntu icon in the upper left
Tried the xorg-edgers PPA and it did not apparently affect this bug; the
screen still flickers after suspend.
HOWEVER as a side note, Unity works with the newer xorg.

Hi!
Actually I fail to see the security impact of this. If a user creates
the bin directory themself and put stuff in there themself then it's on
their own intention, not? I really fail to see the security part of the
issue. Actually it makes sense to have ~/bin first in PATH to be able to
