After the installation stops on failing to recognise a disk, I went to a
shell, and manually run a 'modprobe cciss'. The output is shown on
comment 10. So, manually modprobing the module does not do anything.
I wrongly stated, initially, that cciss was auto-loaded. It is *not*.

FYI, I upgraded several production desktops and servers with the AppArmor in
lucid-proposed and all the upgrades went fine and the confined processes all
continue to work fine for the last week after upgrading and also a reboot. The

The build process is a bit convoluted: First we need to update ubuntu-
docs, then let that build and import the static translations tarball
into Rosetta. Then we can grab that to update language-pack-gnome-zh-
base, which ships the actually translated contents.

Removing a call to a cpu eating yet UNNEEDED function isn't trivial? I don't
understand your reasoning. Removing 10 year old UNUSED cruft that results in a
significant speedup to Applications with large(r) numbers of widgets, seems
like a win, esp since it appears to be unused and unneeded.
BTW, don't worry about the AWS credentials in the above comment. I use
IAM to generate test users in my account and then delete them after the
tests. They are no longer of any use.

Since test-apparmor.py from QRT is pretty comprehensive, I am going to
display its tests results here (both i386 and amd64 passed):

Files from http://www.softwarefreedom.org/feeds/podcast-ogg/ cannot be
converted to mp3.
I have this problem with Intel USB controller, on a fresh installation of
maverick x86_64.
I tried with a Hitachi 1TB, and a Toshiba 2TB, both formatted NTFS, same
problem.
The affected machine is a laptop Acer Extensa 5630G. The lspci output is below:

To clarify this, I meant that the soundkonverter window wasn't closing with
--autoclose enabled, so you ran into another problem.
It would be helpful, if you could provide the complete soundkonverter call with
all parameters.
At the moment I'm not sure what you are trying to do.
